A new addition to the popular Skruf line of snus, Polar Stark White is a strong snus with 20,5 grams of snus per can. Polar Stark White is claimed to have a taste of Eucalyptus and Menthol, and as a menthol fan (I love Blue Ocean!) I was excited to give Polar Stark White a try.
Once I opened my can, I was soon greeted with a strong aroma of Eucalyptus, complimented by a menthol smell. The aroma reminded me quite a bit of original Halls cough drops, with a strong menthol scent. Upon putting a portion in my mouth, I soon noticed a strong taste of Eucalyptus, paired with a cooling menthol sensation. The combinations of flavors was really nice and I felt that they complimented one another. The taste reminded me quite a bit of Catch Eucalyptus, except that the menthol taste gave it an additional twist. After the menthol and euclayptus tastes began to subside around the twenty-five minute mark, I began to notice the classic taste of Skruf tobacco (minus the rose oil) which lasted until the fifty minute mark.
I found the slim portion format to be very comfortable, and the discreet portions allowed me to use portions for an extended period of time while out. Due to the minimal drip produced by the slim portion format, I was able to leave portions in for over an hour before experiencing drip. There’s 14mg of nicotine per portion, so I found that Polar Stark did a good job at producing a strong and lasting nicotine buzz. However, because Polar Stark is white and fairly dry, the buzz came on gradually and it took around five minutes before I began to feel it.
Overall, I enjoyed Skruf Stark Polar White quite a lot. As a fan of menthol I felt that Polar White’s strong menthol flavor was quite a treat and was very refreshing alongside mint flavored drinks. I also found that Polar White goes well as an after dinner treat. If you’re a fan of stronger snuses, I definitely recommend giving Polar White a try.
