Produced by tobacco giant Swedish Match, General Classic Mint White is a mint flavored snus with an average nicotine strength. Each can comes with 21.6 grams of snus (0.9g per portion). Although I’m not normally a mint snus fan, I do love the taste of classic General Snus so I was curious to see how a minty take on a classic would turn out.
After placing a portion in my mouth, I soon noticed a natural minty taste. It was quite smooth, and unlike the majority of mint flavored snus brands out there, Classic Mint wasn’t sweet, instead it was just tasty mint. Interestingly enough I never tasted much of a tobacco flavor at all, it only began to set in after about fifteen minutes and even then it was mild yet tasty, reminiscent of General Original except without the taste of bergamot. The mint flavor lasted for about thirty minutes until it subsided and was eventually completely overpowered by the mild tobacco flavor.
The portion material was very soft, and portions fit comfortably in my mouth. I found that a nicotine buzz began after about seven minutes and lasted for twenty. The portions were quite dry and I didn’t experience any drip until past the one hour mark. The portions also come arranged in Swedish Match’s star formation, which wedges them and creates evenly filled portions every time.
Overall, I loved General Classic Mint, and I definitely plan on adding it to my daily rotation. I’m not normally a fan of mint flavored snuses, but General Classic Mint had a very natural taste, without an overly sweet taste. I recommend Classic Mint to lovers of mint flavored snuses, as well as those who are looking for a refreshing snus to mix things up every now and then.
