Produced by Fiedler & Lundgren (makers of popular brands of snus such as Lucky Strike), G20 Green Mint is part of the Granit lineup of snus (G20 by Granit). Each can contains 20 regular strength snus portions with .75 grams of tobacco per portion.
Upon opening my can of G20, I noticed an aroma of sweet mint and it reminded me quite a bit of General Mini Mint. Upon placing a portion in my mouth, I soon noticed a mint taste which reminded me of a cross between wintergreen and sweet mint with no real tobacco taste present. The mint taste was fairly subdued however, and after about twenty minutes I could no longer detect it. After the wintergreen began to subside, it was replaced with a fairly mild tasting tobacco flavor which lasted until about the forty minute mark. Afterwards I found it became increasingly difficult to detect any flavors beyond a slight salty taste.
The portion material was fairly soft, and it was easy to keep in my lip. Being a white portion snus, I experienced very little drip and was able to keep portions in for up to an hour before starting to feel any drip. The nicotine hit took about 5 minutes to develop, and when it did it was slightly on the weak side for me.
Overall, I wasn’t a huge fan of G20 Green Mint. The flavor was very mild, and nothing about G20 really stood out for me. The slightly smaller than average portions and less portions per can (20 compared to 24 for most brands) was also a bit of a downside. I recommend G20 Green Mint to those who are looking for a fairly mild mint snus in both flavor and nicotine strength.
