Produced by SP Tobacco, Byron White is a premium portion snus which was formerly known as Montrecristo and is manufactured using high quality Cuban tobacco. Each can of Byron White contains 0.9 gram portions of snus which have 11.4mg of nicotine per portion.
After I opened my can of Byron White Portion, I was greeted with an earthy tobacco aroma and a slight hint of anise. Once I placed a portion in my mouth, I immediately detected a clear, smooth tobacco flavor which reminded me of a cuban cigar. Because Byron White is made with Cuban tobacco, this produces a unique taste which I find to be exceptionally good (especially since I’m someone who uses traditional tobacco brands as the mainstay of my daily rotation). The anise flavor was mild, and it served to compliment the tobacco taste without overpowering it, lasting about twenty minutes before it began to subside. I didn’t find Byron to tasty that salty, and I felt that it was just enough to help to round out the mellow and earthy flavor of the tobacco. I was quite surprised at how long the flavor lasted, as after nearly an hour I still noticed a slight hint of tobacco and salt.
The portions fit comfortably in my lip and I didn’t find that they produced much drip. As a result, I was able to leave my portions in for a little over an hour before I found there to be too much drip for my tastes. Although Byron White contains more nicotine than regular strength snus, I found that the kick was rather mild and set in slowly due to its dryness, making it nice to use while relaxing. Another thing that I like about Byron White is the metallic can, which I find to be very tastefully designed, and it makes for a nice touch for a premium snus!
As a whole, I absolutely loved Byron White Portion, and I plan to add it to my daily rotation. Everything about Byron White exudes quality, right down to the design of the metal can that it comes in. If you’re a fan of tobacco flavored snus brands with no other flavors, then I strongly suggest giving Byron White Portion a try!
