Produced by Al Capone Snus, Al Capone Berry is a dry mini portion snus with a tasty berry flavor. Every portion of Al Capone contains .3 grams of snus with 6-8mg of nicotine per portion, for a total of 6 grams of snus per can.
Soon after I opened up my can of Al Capone Berry, I was greeted with a pleasant aroma of sweet berries which permeated my nostrils. The berry aroma was mild yet quite enticing, and I could detect hints of blackberry, raspberry, and blueberry as well as possibly one or two more which I can’t quite put my finger on. In a way it reminded me of the aroma of Swedish Berry candies, except with a more natural taste. In addition to the berries, I also picked up slight hints of grassy tobacco in the background. After trying a few portions, I began to notice that once the portions became sufficiently moistened, the berry flavor slowly began to take hold within a few minutes and lasted for about fifteen minutes before beginning to diminish. As the berry flavor subsided, it was slowly replaced by grassy tobacco which became increasingly salty as time passed. On average, I generally left portions in for about an hour before I removed them due to a loss of flavor.
The first thing that I noticed about the Al Capone Berry portions is that they are very dry with no moisture. As a result, it generally took up to five minutes before I began to notice a pleasant nicotine buzz set in, and it usually came on slow. Although Al Capone is a mini portion snus, it contains roughly the same amount of nicotine as a full sized portion which is definitely a plus. I found the portion material itself to be average, and the portions are quite small and discreet, fitting comfortably in my lip while producing little to no drip due to their dryness.
Overall, I must say that Al Capone Berry is a fairly tasty mini portion snus which is great to use in times when you need to be discreet yet want the satisfaction of full strength snus. Moreover, the dryness of the portions makes Al Capone Berry last quite long, and I find that it pairs especially well with a chilled fruit drink while unwinding on a warm summer afternoon!
