Produced by GN Tobacco, Oden’s 69 White Dry is a regular strength snus with a tobacco flavor. Being a fan of tobacco flavored snus, I was looking forward to trying out this version of Oden’s Snus. I’m not quite sure why the snus is named 69, but I did chuckle a bit when I heard the name!
Once I opened my can, I noticed two fairly strong aromas of tobacco and bergamot, and it was quite nice. As soon as I placed a portion in my mouth I was greeted with a smooth tobacco taste, and soon after I began to notice hints of bergamot which helped to compliment the tobacco.
The portions were quite dry, and I needed to moisten them a little bit with my tongue before placing it under my lip. The material used in the portions was of average quality, and although it isn’t my favorite material it wasn’t too bad. 69 White also produced very little drip, and I had no problem keeping a portion in for over an hour. The nicotine strength was average, and since the portions are so dry the nicotine buzz took a little while to kick in. I did find the buzz to be a little on the weak side, but I am used to using strong snus so that may be the reason why.
Overall, Oden’s 69 White Dry is a great tasting tobacco dominant snus. The bergamot flavor helped to give the tobacco flavor some variety, and it was very pleasant. I highly recommend 69 to those who enjoy a nice tobacco taste with only a tad of other flavoring. I found that it paired quite well with coffee, tea, and even certain types of beer since the dryness of it made it easy to drink with the portion in without too much drip. The can was also well designed, and I thought that the reflective surface was quite cool.
