Yet another mint snus produced by Swedish Match as part of their General Snus brand, General Long White Mint is long portioned snus with a minty flavor. Each can of General Long White Mint comes with .9 grams of snus per portion and 21.7 grams per can.
After opening my can of Long White Mint, I soon noticed a pleasant minty aroma, with a slight hint of tobacco in the background. The mint taste was that of fresh mint, and it was slightly salty. Overall I found that the flavor reminded me quite a bit of General Classic Mint, only with less of the classic General taste of tobacco and bergamot (perhaps due to the slim portion format?). After the mint flavor subsided, I was left with a pleasantly mellow tobacco taste which lasted for fourty five minutes. I found the taste didn’t become overly salty as time passed so I was able to leave portions in for about an hour before losing all flavor.
The portions were slim and comfortable, using the same type of material found in other General Long brands as well as the Lab Series of snus. They produced little to no drip, and I kept portions in for over an hour without any drip issues. The nicotine hit was mild and kicked in after about five minutes, lasting for a total of about twenty-five minutes.
Overall, General Long White Mint is a good choice for mint fans looking to try something new while being discreet about it. I’m not a huge fan of mint and Long White didn’t really offer anything special so I’m not sure if I’ll be ordering any more. General mint does pair well with cool beverages however, especially since the slim portion design ensures that very little drip is produced.
