With a mix of 85% snus and 15% ground cloves, Clove Explosion Extra Strong White dry is a potent snus which is flavored only with organic cloves from Indonesia. As someone who enjoyed clove cigarettes from time to time back when I used to smoke, I found Clove Explosion White to be highly enjoyable and was curious to see how the dry version would stack up in comparison. Every can of Clove Explosion White Dry comes with 15 portions totalling 13 grams of extra strong snus per can with a nicotine content of 27mg per portion.
Not long after I opened my can of Clove Explosion White Dry, I immediately began to notice a strong, natural clove aroma which I found to be very inviting. The flavor itself reminded me a lot of Clove Explosion White (which in turn reminds me of Julesnus), but due to the dryness of the portions it took noticeably longer for the flavor to develop (around eight minutes). I did however, find that the dryness helped prolong the flavor, and I generally kept Clove Explosion White Dry portions in for around an hour and fifteen minutes before I started to notice a drop off in flavor. Aside from the strong taste of cloves, I began to notice slight hints of tobacco appear in the background around the thirty minute mark.
The portion material was comfortable, and their contents were much drier than Clove Explosion White (30% moisture content compared to 50% with regular white). As a result, it took longer for the flavor to develop, and the nicotine buzz also set in slower and more gradually. When it did reach full strength, the nicotine buzz was strong and long lasting.
As a whole, I really enjoyed Oden’s Clove Explosion White Dry. Clove is quite a rare flavor for snus, and as someone who enjoys the taste I found myself reaching for Clove Explosion White Dry fairly often during the day when I wanted to mix up my daily rotation. However, given the choice between the white and dry versions, I do find that I personally prefer the white variant as the flavor and nicotine buzz set in a little quicker than the dry variant. This is just personal preference however, and I recommend trying both to see which type you prefer!
