It has been a while since I’ve written any dip reviews, and when I recently got my hands on a tin of Copenhagen Southern Blend, I knew I had to write a review! Copenhagen Southern Blend is produced by National Smokeless Tobacco Co., and it is currently one of the most popular Copenhagen flavors on the market today.
After opening my can of Southern Blend, I first took in the aroma. Southern Blend has a smokey tobacco smell, with hints of herbs and peach. After I packed a medium sized lip, I soon noticed that the smokey tobacco taste was a little salty and quite nice. However, its the slight hints of peach and tea that really make this dip delicious and give it its southern twist. I often found myself keeping the juice in my mouth for a bit before spitting just to savor the taste! The flavors lasted for around thirty minutes, and after that they became increasingly bitter and thats when I would usually remove my lip.
Southern Blend is a long cut, and because of this I found that it tended to stay together well in my mouth without coming apart for long periods of time. Even when I finished a lip, I found it very easy to remove with minimal mess. Southern Blend has a higher nicotine content than brands like Skoal, and after a few minutes of having a lip in I began to notice a fairly strong headrush and it was very nice. I find that I prefer stronger dip since I need to use less of it for a good buzz, which in turn saves me some money.
Overall, Copenhagen Southern Blend really grew on me, and I can say that it is definitely my favorite type of dip due to its combination of taste, easy packing, and good nicotine kick. If you’re a dipper who hasn’t tried Southern Blend yet I highly recommend adding a can to your next order from us here at Northerner!
